Citizens' Climate Lobby
Focus on California

Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) volunteers in California recently formed a CCL Action Team known as the California Citizens’ Climate Network (CCCN). The team’s mission is to pass state climate legislation that is aligned with CCL’s policy objectives. Currently, volunteers are lobbying for proposed legislation modeled on a carbon fee and dividend program. AB 858 known as California Carbon Cashback, introduced in February of this year by Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, is currently in the Natural Resources Committee. CCCN is looking for volunteers to act as liaisons with their state legislators. At this time, District 01 is in need of a liaison who would also work with our assemblyperson and state senator. You can read an explanation of the action here.
